the mrt station at 7 was so crowded it almost felt like orchard road on christmas eve. haha yah and the trains were pretty fast. they also had this glass barricade on the platform to ensure people do not cross the safety line...

shilin was such a nice place to shop that i actually hated the idea of slinging my camera over my shoulders! hahah shilin market is actually quite complicated with it's grid-like structure. have to return to the same street to get to the next street.

shilin night market was really crowded when we went there. we really had to squeeze through hoardes of ppl going in the opposite direction. did not really have much snacks there cuz there wasn't even enough time to shop, much less to say time for eating. HAHA

HAHA yah anyway went to this marvelous shoe shop called great taipei shoes. they had lotsa shoes going at very low rates, however the biggest steal were the NT990 onitsuka tigers shoes! hahaha wanted to get a few pairs but they did not have my size! iwent back there like 4 times and also went to look around the night market for other similar stores, but they either do not have the designs or that they did not have my size. ARGH... not very good...melvin was really indecisive at first whether to get the shoes or not so we walked down the street, only to walk back the same street after 15 minutes after he decided that he would need to get two pairs, one for himself and one for his friend. bah i would have bought 10 pairs if they had my sizes. :( shilin is a must go. too bad i only went once. ARGH... anyway bought 2 hoodies plus 2 long-sleeve old navy t-shirts here plus skinny tie.

day four

i would say DAY 4 wasn't as interesting as day 3. yah we went to guanghua 3c plaza at zhongxiao east toad, however it was really small and there is no comparison to our very own sim lim square.so we were out of there after 15 minutes and wanted to walk to taipei 101. :) haha look at daniel trying to do a hunch-back pose.

it wasn't easy getting to zhongxiao east road, had to ask around for directions and kept refering to maps. hehe but at least i think we are all decent map readers.

hahahah bran, mel and yy managed to get business pants at a street hawker down the road. haha so andy, daniel and i were sorta experimenting shots with my cam. hehe

when we reached taipei 101 it was very cloudy and there was actually a very light drizzle. yah so we actually had to rush to taipei 101 from about 500m away.

it was really magnificent and we could almost see it from anywhere in the eastern district. when we reached the bottom of the building we had to really tilt our head like 90 degrees to see the top. oh but we didn't explore much of the building except the basement foodcourt and market, which was actually quite a waste i would say. however the foodcourt had really delicious-looking food in big portions. yah i had yummy pork cutlet with curry for lunch. then we went to new york new york to get mister donut, shinkong mitsukoshi which was really big cuz it had 4 buildings in all, and then we went to eslite, this really massive building selling all sorts of books. too bad i am not a bookworm if not i would have loved this place.

planned for a trip up to the observatory of taipei 101 but the guys did not want to go up there....yah so no choice we went to tonghua night market. oh the night market is sorta sucky, very little selection of food and clothes. yah so we went to wufenpu, which had pretty much the same price as anywhere else. i think the clothes would only be cheaper if we bought in bulk. OH WELL. so in the end yy and i decided to go back to our hotel first since we were really tired while brandon went to raohe night market himself.

back in ximending i had a haircut and i think the hairstylist was really good. ok his cutting style is very different, sorta like a bottom up kinda cut, like cut from the root. he told me he learnt it from toni & guy in singapre. HAHAA. he told me my hair was really thick, yah cuz i haven't cut it in 2 months... hahaha yah had a really good conversation, but he was told by another of his colleague to rush my haircut abit cuz the shop was closing already and they all wanna go home. :P haha oh after the haircut i went to walk around the vicinity of the hotel and discovered this little shop. bought jeans and cargo pants and a belt there...but argh i think i am not very good at slashing prices.

HHAHAHA i then met yy outside our room when i was returning back to the room cuz he was really bored watching tv in the room. we went to walk around ximending and i had corn in soy sauce. it was really salty and quite yucky. yy had mac's fillet-o-fish plus charcoal-burnt milk tea. is that what it's english name is called?....hahahah ok when the other guys came back they kept saying how good raohe night market was...oh well...we then watched xing guang da dao until 3 plus. heehee

day 5 was the free and easy day.

we all went to different places. daniel had to collect his hand-drawn shoes from taipei 101 while melvin, andy and yy went to wufenpu. bran went to guting. i went to my 2nd favourite place to shop - ximending. wanted to go to shilin initially but it opens only at 3....

ok so i went to THAT shoe shop again and wanted to buy some things cuz i still had some cash to spare. in the end asked the shop assistant whether there were any other outlets in the vicinity, and he told me there was one in eslite. so i went there and discovered treasure. heehee the sports store was at the 5th floor and it was like 3 adidas, nike and puma boutique shops fused into one big boutique shop, and the prices there were also quite heavily-discounted. hehehe but oh well did not have much money left after i bought a very nice bukta sling bag at level 3. heehee

heehee. then i went to buy matchsticks with the boxes drawn by local designers. really funky. haha the shop assistant kept telling me stories about the cover characters which were quite funny la. so i decided to buy 2 boxes from her. yah total cost was like what....25 sing bucks? quite crazy i know for some matchsticks.

had duck noodles for lunch. it was really good although there was just one piece of duck meat inside the entire bowl. yah the soup was really delicious! haiya but the thing was i told the boss i wanted ya rou bian, which was actually the shop name!! then he told me in quite a sarcastic manner that ya rou bian cannot be eaten...hahah the other customer who was beside me was giggling away...hahaha so it was quite embarassing that when i was sitting inside the shop i did not dare to look at them cuz i knew that they were laughing at me. HAHA but still, the soup was good. must try again :D

after lunch i had apple dipped in caramel with chopped almond nuts. HEHE also bought dunkin' donuts! heehee there is nothing that is not sweet or salty in taipei. HHAHA

heehee so we went back to the hotel at 1530hrs to catch the bus to the airport. and we had this mountain of luggage. HAHA yes just the six of us! hahaha really bought lotsa stuffs.

the driver was really interesting. asked daniel to buy betel nuts for him and brought us to this pastry shop which he recommended. he also made us watch this silly cartoon on the car. hahahah oh well and so this five-day trip had come to a close and i think we all had lotsa fun in taipei! woohoo where shall we go next?

heehee i am back in singapore! had a really great 5-day taipei food tasting and shopping trip! bought lotsa stuffs back :D oh and the good thing about the trip was that the weather forecast was wrong! there was no rain throughout the entire trip except the little drizzle when we were at taipei 101. heh

ok firstly jetstar service is actually quite good, even though the seats were actually very crampy. however i had the luxury of sitting by the aisle so can stretch my legs. yah so next time must try to get aisle seats again. oh and during the flights there and back we did not experience much turbulence, which was supposed quite good, but it gets abit boring by the 3rd hour without much entertainment in my bag. HAHAHA luckily the flight was only 4h40min if not we would have been bored to death.

alright i think when we arrived at taoyuan airport it was around 6 but the sun had already set, so it was actually quite dark. after we took the tour bus and reached royal castle hotel at about 8, we set off for ximending :D (hee hee i actually went to ximending for like one third of the trip.) ximending had this huge plaza near the station and it was really windy over there! hahaha very comfortable breeze i would say.

managed to find a sports apparels shop which sells shoes and clothes at highly discounted prices. ok la the stuffs there are quite off-season ones but they still look very attractive yah. bought a pair of grey adidas shoes there :D oh and there were these BIG chicken cutlets with very spicy chilli powder and BIG bubble teas which is used to soothe the mouth after eating the chicken.

oh also had fried and steams dumplings, and donuts and MASSIVE fried hot dogs which can be found at up to 10 inches long at some places. yeah so many things to eat already on the first night HAHA then we went to huaxi street night market at around 11 but most of the shops were closed. however the place was still wafting with the scent of smelly toufu. EEE. i did not eat any smelly toufu there. no betel nuts too. haha

ok i think we went back to our hotel at about 12 plus. it was 5 minutes away from ximen station but we discovered that there were hotels cheaper and nearer to the station in the vicinity. screw paulene our travel agent. ok maybe no need to screw her cuz royal castle hotel staffs were REALLY VERY FRIENDLY. yah especially the manager, and the reception people and the housekeeper. which means everyone working there were friendly la. however the room was a little too small for 3 guys yah. daniel, yy and i were in 802 while mel, bran and andy were in 803.

ok DAY 2

couldn't really sleep well the past night cuz daniel was snoring. woke up at 5 plus and decided to put on my noise-reducing ear phones and managed to sleep at about 6 plus. hahah so when i woke up i gave daniel a piece of my mind. but he then told me that he couldn't sleep till 3 becuz of MY snoring. HAHAH i don't even know that i snore...oh well. :P

ok hotel breakfast was kinda sucky. we had "a wide array of continental and western cuisines" as melvin and brandon put it. had bread with ham and egg and porridge with veggies and pork floss. ok that was pretty much the kind of food we had for the rest of the days.

we set off for taipei main station at around 10 and the underground mall was pretty good. bought lotsa pastries and nougats there. and the pastries from liyi biscuit shop were actually delivered to our hotel on our last day without any delivery charges. saw the female lift operators of shinkong mitsukoshi with the signature taiwanese 'huan ying guan ling!' too...


ok then went to 228 peace park and ntu hospital station to go to yuanling street for shoes. 228 peace park was windy. yah that's all. yah then we had yonghe soya milk which actually is OK only lor.

mel and bran bought leather shoes at yuanling st after like 2 hours of sourcing around for the best deals, but i did not really fancy that place la. heehee had a big, nice bowl of pork cutlet rice at a japanese restaurant there though. :D





after which we went to back to our hotel to put our stuffs, and then set off for gongguan and shida night market - i was just too tired and felt abit sickly, so decided to walk around ximending by myself. got back to the hotel by 11 and watched tv. they then came back at around 1 plus in the morning and i had to open the door for them. poor me can't sleep properly... :(



day 3 was the most enjoyable i think. we went to danshui and shilin night market.





danshui is a very pretty coastal town with lotsa nice food and great scenery. went to this traditional goods shop and the lady boss said that daniel looks like he is one of the indigenous people. we actually wanted to walk all the way from the mrt station to fisherman's wharf and lovers' bridge but gave up half way. hahaha but when we took the bus we realised how long the walk would have taken. maybe an hour to walk 5 km? haha melvin was complaining about the amount of cam-whoring that we had, like 1 every 3 footsteps.

HAHA anyway had ah-gei noodles which consists of fish paste, tofu and vermicelli for lunch. it wasn't very filling, so we went back to danshui old street and had dumpling soup and more bubble tea. the pearls actually filled up half of the entire cup! how amazing... HHAHA then danshui had this market whereby i bought a cap and a pair of specs. :D


hahah we bought SOOO many things we had to go back to the hotel to put our stuffs first. then we were off to shiling night market!

haha using the internet at royal castle hotel now. :D:D:D the past few days have been very fun! and cold. taipei has very strong winds. alright when i was in singapore the weather forecast said that it will be raining everyday in taipei. but it wasn't raining for the past few days! woohoo! went to danshui, ximending, shilin and many other places...alright don't wanna say much now already must go shopping later at the east district!

yay will be flying for taiwan tml! finally! yay after so many months of preparation and meetings. HAHAHA see you guys on the 9th!

heehee just changed the curtains. took an hour to take the old curtains out, wipe the grills and window glasses, then put on the new curtains. erm do i lack exercise cuz i found this hour of housework to be particularly draining. now my eyes are like half-shut. or half-open. :(

had karaoke session in the afternoon with calvin, weilin and shihui at peace centre. HAHA it has been some time since i last went to sing karaoke. hey it's rather cheap 10 bucks for 4 hours of singing plus one drink!:D:D:D anyway jj's baby baby is a really nice song to sing!


alright then went to wei ming's house for 4-4 class gathering. met shawn loh at amk mrt then we went to thomson green together. oh well we were semi-lost when we came to a dead end but managed to get to the house at 715 still. yah had sarpino's pizza which didn't taste very nice (one of the pizzas had only tomatoes and onions on it), but got to catch up with lotsa peeps. played bridge and daidi, some games which i have not played in the longest time... that's why i was the asshole for most of the games! ARGH!

watched ENCHANTED with 44 guys yesterday. yah and as far as i know, it's a chick flick. HAHAH but i like love comedies what, especially those set in new york. ok i know i have been harping on how disgusting the cockroaches were, and the show actually resembled science fiction at the point when swarms of cockroaches were CLEANING the bath tub and dancing on the main character giselle's hands. EEEEEEEEE....
hahaha yah but the movie was actually quite entertaining with lotsa bollywood dancing as melvin called it. i think what it lacks is a christmas dinner date scene. but oh well it's not christmas yet.

HAHA had tonnes of fun at sandy's place yesterday. eh yah the bunch of us (joyce, gabriel, ben, kennt and i) went after carolling at the pines yesterday.

ok i did not expect to eat much during dinner but i guess that everytime u are at sandy's cafe u are expected to have a feast! the last time we had selft made bread-pizzas! hehe yah this time we had this cold chilli noodles with prawn and sotong as appetizers, japanese curry rice, salad (ok i didn't eat that HAHA), crackers with Brie cheese and apple and apricot cheese. oooo i totally adore the apple and apricot cheese though the the rest of them like the brie cheese better. well ben tan was repulsive towards both.

oh after all these we had chocolate fondue (2 times) with strawberries, apples, bananas, pound cakes, choco chip and nuts cookies, this cake thingie which taste really good and i insist it tasted like chocolate cake though the rest of them thought otherwise.

...and we are off to the Wii games! didn't know that Wii games are so damn bloody fun! it was really lame and requires less grey matter so it really suits me! hahahah played this rabbids game first and all of us became addicted to this dancing mini-game. well mr cactus had a really marvelous sense of rhythm and got through most of the songs while the others didn't do so well. WHEEEEE! XP ahahahah.

there were rabbids spinning to the tunes of la bamba and stuffs like that!!

oh other games include throwing this super-rabbid, the hog racing game whereby the smacking was most funny, feeding the rabbids carrot juice until they die, and throwing cows into the cemetery. oh the best was probably the "...giddy giddy, giddy giddy, arh. arh. giddy giddy..." memory game. joyce was still chanting it when she was sending us home.

HAHAHAH and so we went on to play the mario party games. gabriel had lotsa obscene movements like the can-shaking contest and the sawing game. hahhahah we all went crazy over the waving, sawing and tunnel games. they all made fun of me for having epilepsy and seizure during the tunnel game. :P i think all of us are at least quad-retards who are very suitable for such games - just keep shaking the control stick vigorously until u win!

we actually played for 5 hours. WHOAHHHH.

i had a very good dream last night about holding felicia chin's hand. :D:D:D

losing track of time

oh i did not have any idea what date it was today until i went to check the calendar. BOO this is not good. i need to get work to do soon. i went for the marina mandarin interview with the front office manager just now. thanks bran, yy and serene for ur msges. i finally understood that there are so many people concerned about my life. HAHAHAHAHA
ok back to the interview. well i think i stayed a good half an hour in the hr office talking to this ismail guy and was totally faking this MEGAWATT smile (as serene put it) and trying to keep the look from my eyes soft by focusing on the bridge of his nose. ok whatever that was what i was taught in secondary school during etiquette class. yes in CATHOLIC HIGH. haha well he and the hr dept girl lynette told me they will get back to me regarding the SCHEDULE. ok from that i would infer that i am accepted, though not officially, into the hotel. but still there's this tiny little tinge of uncertainty that i really do not like. oh furthermore i am only able to start work on the 9th dec after my tw trip. yah so two more weeks to waste.

been singing LOADS the past few days. OK weeks. hahah dunno if i have improved in any way or not but i am really trying to better prepare myself for impresario. haha competition looks really stiff i am very scared. AND EXCITED! hahahha it's been some time since i last took part in a competition. the last one was in 2005 back in vj. and it didn't turn out to be very successful. HAHAHA ok la i will sure this comp will be one eye-opener and i will definitely learn alot from it. argh just need to reduce breathing NOISE (yes dawn, and perhaps alot of other chorale peeps), try to reach higher notes with real voice, and to make the transitions between real voice and falsetto better. :D

taiwan trip in less than 2 weeks time. SO FAST?!?!?!?
woohoo ppl if u need to get anything from there just tell me k? i have got tonnes of requests already so better book ur purchases fast if not i will have no place to put them in my luggages! :D

these few days have been really carefree, albeit uneventful. yah no work, no income, no worries, got to have slots to study japanese, got to go jogging and exercise on my own schedule, managed to find time to really practise singing. yah practically everything that i did the past week was all due to my own planning, with no external influences, ok except the crest course. HAHA yah will be going down to marina mandarin for interview this fri, pretty excited about it! really hope that they won't reject me yah...i am mr professionally-friendly smiley-face ok!

damn there is going to be a new condominium next to my house. and supposedly along with it comes bishan st 25. woohoo new street in my town. now i am wondering if property prices in my area are going to rise? hahah but i guess having a condominium next to ur house doesn't make much of a difference anyway since condos can't be counted as added amenities, or attractions...or things like that. ok perhaps i am just frustrated that the open field next to my flat is going to be a built-up area in a few years' time. and no more unblocked view of bishan park and ang mo kio then...boohoo.

it's true that there may be times when someone cares for u and wants u to do something that u either don't like or fear, which causes u to blatantly turn away their kind suggestions and begin to turn a deaf ear to everything that they say. yah my dad kept telling me the whole of yesterday morning that i need to go have a checkup with an otorhinolaryngologist (ok new word that is very long!) or just some doctor because i seem to sneeze every morning. but not really actually. it's like only on certain days (eg.sundays) when he is around in the house, and coincidentally i will sneeze. ok i am not saying that i am allergic to him in any manner. that's just WRONG! ok i admit i will have mucus coming off my nose every now and then but it's normal yah? it happens to everyone every now and then right? HAHAHA i hate it when ppl make me feel paranoid. BAAAAH

so what has been going thru my mind for the past few days?

hmmm the decision to make between hotel and real estate. BOO HOO.

yah finally picked up that darned yellow japanese book and started reading it. brought back alot of lost information and memories. HAHHAAH studied it at bishan library for 2 hours. woohoo the longest i have done in 2 long years. yah so kudos to MESELF! :D

and yet another inspiring and highly motivational talk about sales methods today by master trainer yong hock. yah learnt a fair bit of sale skills. well now i should be much more prepared at haggling prices at taipei shilin night market yah!? hehehehe

was talking to serene just now. 蛇-jie. hahhahah haven't talked to her in a long time!!!!!!! woohoo had a really great convo just now...maybe the best i had this year. HAHA so ser-jie we must talk more yah? wink wink :D

yah i must start my jap self-tuition tml. :D serene was telling me about this jac brother and sister programme whereby ppl are supposed to act as tour guides for japanese students at a humble rate. well i guess that's a very good platform to practise japanese. oh but too bad the dates clash with my taiwan trip. arh shucks. hahaha nvm. i have already dug up my 7 year old japanese textbooks from moelc and will start on the first one tml. wish me perseverance :D

whee had hotel interview spree today. i think i went to these few hotels

3. marina mandarin
4. ritz carlton
5. raffles
6. swissotel
7. marriot
8. hyatt

at the start of the day my aim was to just go for the fullerton interview at 10, then after that go for the powertalk at propnex at 2. however after pan pac the momentum just kept going and i had to skip the power talk to go for the other walk in interviews. but i guess it was worth it.

fullerton was beautiful. but whee i also realised that marina mandarin has VERY VERY VERY nice interiors. the building sorta tapers upwards and when u are at the lobby u just seem to be covered by the hotel rooms and corridors and stuff. really fascinating. and there are fake birds chirping too! well i know there can't be real birds flying around the hotel lobby and guest rooms like. imagine dining under a tree with birds perching on the branches. hahahah oh well it felt like paradise for a moment when i came into the hotel from marina square. hahah whee really enjoyed being in that environment :D erm anyway feeling really tired from walking around the entire day from 10 to 5, from raffles place to city hall to orchard road...ahh and i just came back from a run at bishan park. HAHA

ok the morning was pretty blanked out. wanted to go down to dhq for dekitting and collection of cos and transcript and stuff but they said that they are not ready yet. yah we went down on monday and they told us that by wed it SHOULD be ready. now they are saying it would be best if we go down to collect the items 2 weeks from now since dy is busy and stuff. BOO to spf. very inefficient.

oh so i went for tuition. then i went for st james' power station interview as a server. hmmm i guess i most probably won't be taking up the part-time offer since the working hours are really scary and the pay is not really that great anyway. maybe i should just tell the manager that i am willing to work for events ONLY. yah that shall be it. anyway wild rocket had called back already and asked me if i am still willing to take up their job offer. hmmm but i told them that i will give them a reply in a few days' time cuz i have a fullerton hotel interview tml, or rather later in the morning! hmmm oh that i am quite excited. but i shall not pin too high hopes. shall see how things go tomorrow. i think i am quite under-prepared. that's not very good.

after every crest lesson i feel more motivated. more motivated to get started on things not only in real estate, but in many aspects of my life. i need to clean and filter and de-filth and tidy up my life. yah and set a goal. yah that is it. for this week i shall be more decisive and less wishy-washy. and yah procrastination has always been my greatest weakness. i shall stop procrastinating and idling in front of the computer too. thanks for reading if u see me hogging your msn messenger screen for too long pls gimme a nudge and tell me to get away from this nasty technological hazard in front of me. :D

i went for 3 interviews today. one at mt emily, one at chijmes and one at clarke quay. really liked the mt emily one, even though it's abit inconvenient to get there and the pay's rather low. HAHA junkai just got me an interview tml at st james. wonder what they do there. :D

some ppl say successful ppl do things differently but they don't do different things.

jianhao is trying to cast a REALLY big net. so that anyhow tembah (is that how u spell this malay word?) will also kenna one. HAHA

4 waitering jobs + 1 sales job + real estate sales. WHEE. life is so exciting!

went out to town with kenneth, daryl, edwin, yee teck and titus after failing to get back my pink ic from pnsd becuz tl did not sign my dekitting form. well still have to go back on wed anyway to collect the certificate of service...so...ahah we had fun eating at swensens and pool at cineleisure. edwin and titus are zai, while kenneth and i are the tai-ko brothers. hahah but the tai-ko brothers won quite alot against the zai ones. :D

alright wanna say that this photo is kinda black. ok blame it on the swensens manager. haha oh yah forgot to introduce these handsome boys. edwin, kenneth, daryl, titus and yeeteck. edwin just had a brush with death not long ago at a road block. kenneth is the muscleman and just got his braces. titus is this super-smart guy whom dennis thought is above normal human calibre. oh and yee teck did something terrible to his dog and loves TWINS. he is the guy who played twins' songs EVERY SECOND when we were in cheeseburger bunk last year.

just attended the first of 8 specialised skills programme lessons at hdb hub conducted by nizam gafoor. i have attended so many of his lessons already but every time i am still amazed at how powerful a motivational speaker he really is, and i wanna learn how to communicate like that. the words just flowed out of his mouth like vomit, but they all made sense, and made u think real deep.

we were talking about having reflecting sessions everyday to charter ur progress in life, your goals, and to review them every now and then. to have pictures of things that u desire placed in the most prominant and visible position in the house so that u will be repeatedly reminded of ur dreams. to mix among with the best, or at worst the better. and to tell ur loved ones and ur best friends that u are going to embark on a journey of challenges and hardships and rewards and that u need their guidance and most importantly support and good wishes.

ok one very very cruel thing that we were taught in class was to filter away negative-thought influences, even if it means to lessen contact with some of ur best-est friends. argh that sucks. i am so reluctant to even think about that.

ok i know i always have short-tongues and long-tongues and twisted-tongues every now and then when i speak...haha ok that's quite funny. well i shall learn from everyone around me. so please. you can laugh at me when i spell or pronounce a word wrongly but try to correct me ok? :D

went to oc guy's bike garage at lorong tukang empat today with some of the squad one guys. OOO he has alot of old bikes which looks appealing enough to make me wanna take a class 2 license immediately. hahah yah had great pizzas from canadian pizza (haha it's rare that the pizzas are actually still quite hot) and talked alot with my other former squadmates about npc life... :D

the last 14 hours of work were very very very very enjoyable. yah. the team met up early to have a pizza session at the briefing room, ooo the pizzas were yummy. :D yah when tl represented the team to present to me a plaque and a box of famous amos cookies as farewell gifts, i was really very touched. it was a really nice gesture. i was then asked to give a speech. yah so i was telling everyone how much i have enjoyed my stay at ty npc with such wonderful colleagues, and seriously, i was abit reluctant to leave so quickly. (HEHEHEHE) there was a mixture of so many different kinds of emotions. after tonight i will most probably not be able to work in the same environment and people and do the same silly things, and i really do not know whether i will find such great people to work with in the future. i really felt like crying then...

HAHA and i was deployed to patrol with chan, someone whom i really wished to have done more patrolling with. yah so really big big thanks to anton for the deployment. as usual we talked all kinds of shit and serious stuffs on the car. it was a busy night running about attending to nonsense cases, most of which likely to have came from nuisance calls, and i did not get to sleep...HAHAHA cuz we were all so happily talking on the 3rd floor and laughing so loudly. then in the morning ridzwan brought us to this block with a spectacular view and really great breeze on the 30th storey....and then ate tau hway back at npc bought by shane and nadiah...i think i am a fortunate person. my team mates are really good people. i hope that they will do well and stay healthy and happy.

yah. been fretting over mindless matters these past few days. lotsa discoveries on thoughts that i never imagine would appear in my mind.

oh last night's rain was fantabulous. had such a good time working with ramli yesterday and had a great sleep this morning. yup if only eveything could be that smooth-flowing.

rafiq was telling me about his friend having this job as a waiter at a pub/bar (not sure what) and gets to work from 8 to 1 in the morning and is paid 1600 a month. i don't mind that.

anyone knows where to get waitering jobs which pays gold for cash?

when all the things that you are doing are not going your way, as in such as a job that u r in the way of getting only to find out that u are not qualified. another example would be all the waiting for the things that u wanna get and the people that you want to meet, unsure of whether all these waiting will be in vain. and finding out that you are really low in cash and desperately needs to find a new job. bah that's when u have a bad day. yah that's why gymming was good for venting all these frustrations. argh and pain tastes good.

hehe had my first propnex course today. yup really interesting. did glass walking. opps i almost typed fire walking. ok la not so garang. HAHAH

i took nearly 800 pictures the past 2 days. and i finished cropping and deleting the ugly ones in 3 hours. bloody 3 hours doing the editing made my eyes sore. how am i going to survive 5 days of phototaking in taiwan. haha but i must admit it was fun experimenting with my new camera. wheee. my new wife. :D

i had a great night out with raymond and lip yong after my morning shift on friday. we went to plaza sing for desserts at cafe cartel since they always have cakes at half price after 9. wheee so we just grabbed the last 2 pieces of banana rum cake off the display fridge and happily tucked in. was it banana rum cake? i think it is. haha.

we were walking the escalators towards gv at the 6th floor when we saw 2 osim back massaging chairs at the 3rd floor. ok so lip yong and raymond went to have a try and they thought that it was really painful. then they went up to the 4th floor and had another go. i have retarded friends...
hmmm so then we went to watch STARDUST at gv. it's a really interesting movie about medieval witchcraft and there was a flying ship with traders capturing lightning to sell. how cool is that?! even though i thought that the ending was REALLY lame, well there were alot of funny moments and it's still a good movie to catch.

my family went to simpang rengam, somewhere in johor, on saturday because we were supposed to attend a concert dinner that he had organised for his singing group and fellow villagers. HAHA. it's quite a grand event actually cuz i think we had 99 tables of guests. ok la it was held in a school hall but still alot of ppl turned up for the event, and i was our table photographer for the night. :)

oh in service today was quite lame. really. had sop on bubble threats, talk by dr money and deeparaya celebrations (oh the epitome of boredom and lameness combined). but i guess the only nice part of the day was our little excursion to kerbau rd's chapati shop.

OK the chapati's not nice at all... haha but i really enjoyed my team mate's company, cuz i must cherish every moment with them since i am going to ord soon. argh. oh there is a new sc junkai. another new kid on the block. that's fast i had to wait 9 months for chuan's replacement but mine came even before i left. hahah lucky peter. ahaha we all thought that junkai loves skating cuz he wears skater shoes and really baggy jeans. teenagers nowadays ar...

oh cropping is fun. i think i will go to the extent of over-cropping. that's not good. stop me please.

anton and chan have been telling me to get a tripod and remote control for taking long exposure shots and night shots. oh man. that means more money to be spent. argh i guess i just have to figure out the basics first.

hahahahhah just came back from josh's house and learnt a new song (home by chris daughtry) and polished up 2 old songs (jay chou's qing tian and bread's if) wheee. basically home and qing tian have the same chords just that the progression is different. will practise more yah!

what a day!

oh everything went rather smoothly, other than a car fire that shane managed to put out with a working fire extinguisher, ...and this one.

there were several calls received on a lady who was sorta on a hacking spree, carrying her chopper and pair of scissors around cutting potted plants and hacking wooden doors. so when we arrived we saw this middle aged woman who was REALLY REALLY MENTALLY UNSOUND holding her weapons up high on both hands and walking towards us in a very mechanical manner (think zombies), and shouting 'i m god' and whatnots in chinese. yah nothing really makes sense except that we had to keep moving back and a distance away from her, making sure that no other residents were near her at the same time. some of the residents got really curious by looking out of their metal gates. i believe among those some of them really had suicidal tendencies.

ok so she was walking towards us proclaiming that she is god and we were retreating, partly to buy time waiting for our tl to come with his taser (f.y.i. it's an electric gun that sends really friendly electric pulses through your body :) ) i was then instructed by ramli to go to the ground floor to make sure that no one was near to get hit by any fallen objects. and then i saw tl rushing to scene. but he was one floor below the others and i guess he didn't have the slightest idea where their exact location was. i shouted for him and he seemed to have gotten the location out of nowhere. ok that's good. so i started dashing up the stairs so as not to miss a glimpse of someone getting tassed at. (how exciting!) oh well i was a tad too late as tl had already fired a shot at her, and she was already lying face down, albeit still struggling to wriggle out of this nasty situation. so sedek gave her another current. well she was really strong despite her small size and continued struggling then.

ok at this point tl spotted some of us SCs standing behind him looking on at all the excitment and drama and not really working as we should be. (well we should be pinning her to the floor by then). haha so kenna scolded. peter seemed to be rather shocked by what was happening (crazy woman chasing us with choppers, then kenna tassed.) yah and he looked really stony/stern, which i couldn't really differentiate. haha ok la in the end we managed to pin her down with nadiah pulling the needles out from her body in a very kan-chiong manner.

ya it was a job well done i guess. one less insane woman walking down the streets for all of us. :D

edwin just told me that tonight's his last tour. WTH i still have 5 more tours to go. ok it's different. i work in a busier estate as compared to his so i had to take more leaves. BLEAH.

we were sorta fooling around during carolling prac earlier on cuz there were less than 10 of us present. well we ended early and went to whampoa market opposite sandy's house. ooo the food there was fantastic. i had nasi lemak and satay and fried oyster omelette. oh man all of them were good. i had sugarcane with lemon for the first time in my life and i promised myself that i will never get a sugarcane drink without lemon in the future. :D

oh karaoke session yesterday with npc guys was great. the company was good yah. before that we had beef kway teow and fried chicken ("L"'s recommendation) which taste really good. yah i think it was the first time i was on the brink of getting really drunk, cuz the heineken really tastes like water, so i just kept pouring myself more and gulping all of it down. wheee.

was playing table tennis and badminton with yy and samuel this afternoon and i finally realised how alcohol can impede brain activity. which sucks.

went to bras basah with josh on wed to get a guitar with a black guitar bag. the sales assistant at the shop where i bought the guitar tried to sell me a disgustinglg gay blue bag, so i decided to bump around some more and finally got a black one. yay i am still learning qing tian and can't find guitar tabs that are easy enough for me. :(

had team dinner yest and saw a lot of the former scs who have already ord-ed. hahha ate a lot and then we went to the hari raya bazaar to take a look. it was mu first time in a malay bazaar and it was an eye opener. the baju kurongs for the ladies are really exquisite. shall get one for my girlfriend soon.

and i finished reading harry potter and the deathly hallows. FINALLY. now i know who died. nobody can threaten me with spoilers anymore! :D

there's a dim sum session at ecp tml afternoon with chorale peeps. yay. hunger hunger hunger hunger.

haven't touched photoshop for ages. just managed to finish bentan's movie poster. still wondering which one is nicer. hmmm.

i was tourist for a day when i went to shenton way yesterday. so many tall buildings! however on my way to city hall via the esplanade from shenton way i had to pass by the singapore river, and i must say that it was actually quite smelly still. we need to have more green-ing projects.

for those of u who have forgotten how i look like,

it has gotten rather chilly nowadays, which is good actually. i suspect all the bus drivers turned the bus air conditioning temperatures to 16 deg celcius. it was brrr-cold. and i didn't have any jacket or extra clothing to cover my shivering body.

talk about feeling cold in singapore! what if it snows in the lion city?

ANYWAY i was at macritchie area earlier in the morning attending to some case which i believe is either housebreak-in, over-suspicions or X-FILES. haha yah i got bitten on 4 spots over both arms the moment i stepped outside the house. when i was in the house, i caught one mosquito landed stealthily onto my right arm and my left hand instinctively slapped on it. blood just sorta oozed out of it's big fat abdomen. HOWEVER, the scary thing is that it's legs have WHITE lines, similar to those of an aedes mosquito. the bad thing is i might have already caught the dengue virus, the good thing is that i am still going strong and feeling alive. YAY shall see what happens tomorrow.

sheena is also going to taiwan at the end of the year! and she is going to spend the new year there!

Some of the things i did:
1. queued up for donuts at donut factory
the queue took me an hour plus and i had donuts for dinner. people keep saying i suffered from sugar rush that night all through the following day
2. asian voice symposium with vc and vjc choir (carmina burana). had a really rushy afternoon trying to find ties. thank god gabriel went to borrow some from our vj juniors. thanks.
3. dinner at lao beijing at novena square. the sweet and sour fish and prawns and brocolli were really good. I like the duck meat wrapped in egg rolls too.
4. went for pre-ord medical checkup at old tracom and managed to meet up with the other cheeseburgers. went to j8 to eat with yee teck and edwin in the morning, and to orchard with daryl and kenneth in the evening.
5. managed to do the itinery for taipei trip at the end of the year. YES i am going to taipei. need anything from there just tell me.

OH NO it has been rather long since my last posting. :P

yah had a wonderful time during in song concert. thanks to all vc people for making it a really special night. yah it was my first in song and i guess i was really nervous throughout the concert. afraid of so many things like the awfully difficult-to-remember lyrics, weird note intervals for certain songs and the choreography. i was holding on to the chopsticks with my life and was very scared that they would just slip out of my hands. i guess i have chopstick phobia now.

had a really great time at brewerks and chocolate factory yesterday. the food was great. the company was great. the talk was great. and i felt a sense of alcohol-induced-high. it was such a wonderful feeling i didn't feel like leaving all my dear friends at all. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

took ippt today. and everything was considered void because of system malfunction and human complacency. DAMN e dtu.

the past 4 days have been pretty exciting! lotsa driving around. am more confident of driving my own car now yeah although i was rather taken aback when i realised that i could not use all the privileges of driving a police vehicle. ARGH hahah no parking wherever i want and no anyhow overtaking anymore. yah it thought me alot of things.

went to k box with shihui and siying yesterday night!!! wow we sang from 8 plus to 2 plus in the morning. that's SIX long hours! wow but we don't feel tired at all leh i think. ok except siying she KOed at around 12 plus. HAHA and i MUST say that shihui is a singing goddess. WOW. she is DAMN good. DAMN good. i keep having no breaths at about the 3/4 mark of every song...argh and i have absolutely no technique and doesn't know how to hold the mic. BRRRR. shihui is damn power la. HAHAHA

finally understood why ridzwan told me that he was actually relieved that he had sold his bike away after his accident. how hassle-free and worry-free it had become for him. IT IS SO TIRING TO OWN A VEHICLE! coe, road tax, erp, summons, season parking, parking space, accidents, insurance, fuel consumption...all these actually popped out of my mind in less than 2 seconds. i have a brilliantly worried brain. HELP ME. ok it's nice to have a vehicle for convenience sake. oh but can i really handle the stress that is upon me now? i dunno why i feel so stressed. maybe it's because of the stress that i was summoned yesterday by that evil parking attendant, and also maybe because i had stayed on the wrong side of the red bus line for 20 seconds yesterday. ARGH.

my first time driving stream by myself and then i kenna summoned at my house's carpark by a parking attendant RANI. damn. i didn't know that i can't park there cuz it's for season parking only. ok it's kinda ridiculous not knowing that it is for season parking only after leaving there for the past 17 years. OH WELL. lesson learnt. 50 bucks into the government. BOO.

am down with flu and bad sorethroat, so requested to go home early after night shift. luckily i was doing ops owl, if not there would be no chance i can go off early. argh panadol cold relief saved my life. i think i am going to be very addicted to it. argh.

oooo the samsung washing machine sitting comfortably in the kitchen is such a beauty. ok cuz it's new. so i was the first one to fiddle around with it and it's so fascinating there is a transparent board for you to see what's happening inside. it's for people who have a natural sense of intense curiousity. i am one of them. and so i did lotsa housework today.

argh my work file containing all the forms had went missing. the ftpss clerk promised to bring it to kim keat npp but i went there and check it wasn't there. it wasn't at the counter either. well. nvm.

it was that day when the car broke down just in front of dhq and it's engine was not able to start that kenny scolded me and told me that i would be in deep shit. he is a true bastard and idiot and i am sure he doesn't know what he was saying and who he was talking to. i showed him that i am fully capable of handling a disaster situation. he is screwed-up. so much for getting condemned by taking photos of other people sleeping. he deserves everything he is getting now... hmph. i was so angry yet so emotionally-fulfilled.

anyway that was totally irrelevant. it was just a random thought that sprung out. oh. the days have not been very eventful. just lots of listening to music (i just discovered goo goo dolls and fergie and CRAIG DAVID which i had forsaken for quite some time) oh well nvm. and what's music without the visual entertainment.

my teammates are soooooo michievious.

most of us were taken aback when my team leader announced that there will be some reshufflement of manpower between the different teams in the npc due to some of our officers intending to further their studies. we were really sad when he said that ansari, ramli and chan will be leaving the team. they are like the pillars of the team la! how can they leave. i was especially upset about chan leaving because he has been my gym, chatting and singing buddy all these while and things would really be very very very different without him around. tl sedek told us that they will be leaving next week and that's like SO DAMN SOON! he even told the officers to type out a letter indicating if they wish or not to leave the team and their stated reasons.

this morning during debriefing the 3 officers told us what they will be intending to do should they ever leave the team. ramli said that he will resign and join cisco. chan said that he will join scene of crime unit as someone had offered him a place in the past and he may want to try it out. ansari was abit more undecided and want to go to SOT, SFS...dunno whatever he is talking about la hahahah. but at that point of time i can really feel that the atmosphere is rather solemn. and then TL asked about our opinions. so obviously all of us were very reluctant to let such good officers leave and were very sad indeed. our TL then got off his seat and walked towards us, and told us it was all nothing but a joke. how naughty can he get... actually uncle bernard, ramli, ansari, chan and even dennis already knew about the evil scheme earlier in the morning but just wanted to act along. TSKTSKTSK.

ok moral of the story is to not believe stories easily. always be critical. i had believed the crappy story the entire night and was emotionally tortured. ok the thing is we have VERY good actors in the team!!! HAHAHA so it's not our fault that we are so gullible. but we were really very relieved to know that they are indeed not leaving. :D

oh dennis did my staff assessment report for me, and i finally realised how close i am to leaving the team. less than 4 months. HAIZ. not that i don't want to ord, but i seriously can't bear to leave the people there. my work and shift have became my lifestyle and my colleagues my closest social circle. it was a short one and a half years there la but i have really learnt alot from the cases i attended to, the working environment, and from my fellow teammates.



haha darn i was being a muddlehead again by leaving my file containing the precious precious logsheets on top of the car. the file managed to stay put all the way from toa payoh central until lor 4. it was only at the junction of lor 4 and lor 1 that i heard a 'thud' sound somewhere out there. well i thought that it was nothing mar so i didn't look around. then a few minutes later while we were at lor 7 andrew from clp called nadiah and asked her whether she had dropped a blue file at the said junction. well nadiah obviously did not have a blue file and directed the question at me. THEN i realised that i did not have my file with me at that moment of time. oooooo we then rushed back to the scene of carelessness and did a risky stop at the right turn point and i finally managed to retrieve my previous little blue file. oh after that things were much more peaceful albeit a very very common loanshark harassment case. darn the loansharks. i was deployed to do proactive duty with a voluntary sc. i really wondered it was so since there were so many other regulars around. o well i drove and wrote while the vsc went to sign the beat books. it was alright for me actually la cuz i am a LAO JIAO already MUAHAHAHAA.

ok la i appreciate my work and my life. however one thing i don't like about my teammates is how they threatened me and vincent with cockroaches in the locker room! HMPH. OOO my team has a new sc called peter and he's really hardworking. good. i can hand everything over to him from now on HAHAHAH.

insomnia. that's one of the worst things anyone can wish to experience i guess. luckily what i am suffering from now is an afternoon type. OH how am i going to survive night shift later. :(:(:(

watched transformers in 2k digital at vivocity today! woohoo it was fantastic. robots, cars, megan fox (whee.), action... what more can a guy ask for? alright maybe a little more plot.

i took joyce's advice to watch it in the cinema - i can never make my house shake like THAT theatre i was in. the effects were 'wow's, 'way-too-cool's and 'how-did-they-do-that?'s! i was totally amazed by the fifth minute. however, one thing i did not like was how megatron was killed and how the battle against the decepticons were won eventually. it was a bit too brief and lack excitment. oh well. transformers deserves a blue post. :D

optimus prime was oh ho ho. oh ho ho ho. oh ho ho ho ho. megan fox is going to be mine for the entire day tomorrow. HURHURHUR. i am so fortunate.

10 members of toa payoh npc sat together cross-legged at the auditorium stage, shoulders-to-shoulders and arms were locked. we were told never to let go of our grip no matter what (god knows why?!), and we innocently sat there waiting for the current to flow through our bodies. we had seen brave little ansari volunteered by our tl to go up on stage alone to get a taste of it. we laughed when we saw him went down cuz he had a pretty amusing look on his face at that point of time, but i think we all knew it was a rather bitter laughter. hurhur.
they told us that the voltage was a mighty 50k watts but the current was only 0.00-something ampere-it can bring down a 500kg bull.
aiyah but we thought that it would be pretty alright still la since there were so many people getting the shock together. haha! it was only when that current surged through our bodies for that 5 long seconds did we understand the agony of a strong electric shock and being immobilised thereafter. understandably we all fell on our backs. chan and dennis who were sitting beside me were screaming and shouting uncontrollably. i was trying to see what was happening to them but couldn't turn my head one bit. it was like a very nasty feeling of the whole torso cramping up and one being unable to control all of his muscles but to wait for the current to stop. i guess all of us heaved a very big sigh of relief after everything was over. all of that in just 5 seconds. i can never imagine what it would have felt like to experience 3 cycles of it. so, poor violent, uncooperative criminals.

we were glad that we were the first npc to go up on stage for the experiment cuz i didn't think we could bear to witness sixty other people screaming and crying in agony before it was our turn. after everyone had went for it some of us saw how the electricity ran in the gun...alongside the 'taktaktak' sound we could see 2 nasty streaks of blue waves undulating at the front of the gun.
i would like to encourage all criminals not to commit crimes that will ensue the use of the taser gun on them.

it was an UNFORGETTABLE day. but it was also exciting la HAHA.

police ns is life-changing.

SO... talks are rife about the transformers movie and more importantly how fantastic it really was! everyone seems to be talking about it and asking me whether i have watched the movie already or not. SOMEONE watch it with me plsssss... hehe

my childhood was about captain planet (will they have a movie on this?? haha it will be so cheesy...), x-men, ninja turtles, ghost busters, pokemon and digimon...and i didn't really watch transformers when i was young...only caught beast wars on tv on sat afternoons a few years back which alot of people thought was quite lousy actually... HEHE.

been working quite alot these few days...morning and night shifts followed by an early morning duty whereby we have to report at 530am...didn't get much sleep and i had a really, really bad headache just now after my afternoon nap...poor me...:P fortunately it got better after popping in some paracetamol...yay...hope i am able to sleep later...still have to work tml!!! wth.

oh yes i can totally sympathise with police officers who have to attend to last minute(S) cases.
i would like to strongly discourage you guys from calling for police at times like 7.45am...cuz we really have alot of administrative and investigative stuffs to do upon arrival and sometimes waiting for the investigator could really take HOURS!
HAHA ok la but if it is really urgent just call...but please try to feel remorseful cuz officers who are attending to you probably may have to work for 20 hours (8 to 2 the next day) as we had seen in the whampoa unnatural death case yest. that is very saddening. and i don't think they are able to claim hours (let's not bring up the issue of why there is no overtime pay) during the following working shift... yah so just spare a thought for us too before you dial that emergency call number...HA!

was at siglap on sat when nelson was there. well i guess everyone felt that it was a good productive session...oh how nice it would be if he was there every practice... haha it's also very enjoyable listening to his anecdotes on how the selection of songs came about. oh how we missed him!

ooooooo after chorale practice some of the YOUNGER vj peeps went down to heeren vilage (formerly marche) for our farewell dinner with jamie. darn i did not really bid farewell to her that night HURHUR. alright a pic that was kapo-ed from suelynn.

YAY! i finally saw head s & t today. luckily he is in a good mood, and my tl was there to 'soften' any blow that he was going to deal unto me. PHEW.

why do i have stomach flu?

1/ drinking soya bean packet drink which has been left in the car to warm up in the afternoon. perhaps some cockroaches decided to bathe inside too... BLEH
2/ eating too much in a short time interval.
ate dumplings at 0630
ate nasi sambal goreng at 0930
ate mixed vegetable rice + soya bean drink at 1230
ate a very creamy blueberry bun at 1730
after all these i did not eat anything until 10 this morning.
3/ sleeping immediately after eating lunch on a reclinable chair
4/ taking in big breaths when passing by the rubbish dump area and saying 'very nice smell!' before taking in another 2 litres of rubbish air.
5/ getting in and out of the car during a very warm day.

in i think i am suffering from indigestion too. was trying to puke all the food out yesterday however to no avail. the valve in the throat just wouldn't give way. i know i am VERY hungry now but i have no appetite...luckily the fever had already subsided...but i can't work tonight...i am very sorry to the person who had to report for work today to cover me despite having applied for leave himself/herself.

did you guys forget about something... :(

REVELATION

alright dinner with suelynn, marcus, samuel (suelynn's brother), sheena, gabriel, adrian, irvin, j yeo, wei jie, martin and jon gan at east coast food centre. it was quite a gathering yah stuffed myself with lotsa food...

the government should put more guys in the police force so that pnsf can have more people to relate to regarding their work life. hmph. haha i am NOT grumbling.

was doing patrol with dennis. and we attended to 2 cases of monkeys disturbing ppl...actually when we went there they were quietly digging food from the trash bins in the old braddell westlake school compounds. actually come to think of it it is humans who are truly disturbing wildlife but still we complain when wild animals enter urban land, and we will seek to exterminate them...GIVE THEM A LITTLE SLACK LA DUDES & DUDETTES.

wants a kitten/puppy to hug and keep me company.

the dreaded meeting with head s&t has been dragging for far too long - he is always not in his office and i always make wasted trips! #$@*)&()!

was arranging the music collection on my comp and everything's much neater now YAY!put more nice songs into my mp3 player yay that means more enjoyable patroling in the future!

the deliciously nutty crunch oatmeal cereal from marks and spencer is DELICIOUS. i just finished eating the last portion of it for breakfast heeeheee. did i mention that the triple chocolate chunk from m&s were fantastic too albeit a little too sweet. i shall try the other flavours out soon.

saw a grand total of FOUR pretty babes today. woohoo work rox rock wox. 1 in a restaurant applying to be a cashier and the other 3 who are sisters (!!!!!!!) in toa payoh. WHEEEE i wasn't staring or drooling at all. totally maintained how a gentleman should be. however everyone who was near me would notice that i had a slight grin throughout my encounters with them...muahahahahha. i sound like a desperate cheekopek..... WHEEEE i feel fortunate.

oh i played golf on my phone and challenged chan to 3 games...i didn't know it would get so exciting and competitive HAHAH. it was so fun.
before that we were eating lovely fish and chips from botak jones at toa payoh industrial estate. not bad not bad the service was VERY GOOD...partly becuz we are civil servants...the food was good but i think they gave too much 'chips'...ahahah but it was well-priced at 6 bucks everyone should go try.

was watching campus superstar yest, and it was rather lousy...the hosts did not have good chemistry (where's fiona xie???)...some of the contestants weren't singing well at all...and the judges lack that bit of humour in their words (only li fei hui was funny at some moments). some resort to using 'OK' all the time...duhhhh...and my cat high junior got ousted haiya...

arrrrrrgh bad hair day and bad barber day. boooooooo.
