hello i am back, and 600 dollars poorer from the trip to london...HAHA :P
this is my second time to london, and i have ticked all the travel boxes that i have planned for!
had the famous gold mine duck rice with kellyn on the first day, and then she lost her voice on her second day. since i was not fated to have a travelling companion i took on london by myself. booked a ticket on the original tours' hop-on/off buses and went on a 48-hour sightseeing tour...haha stopped by at leicester square to grab my tickets for the lunch time and evening musicals! :)
then i went on the river cruise (TWICE to get my money's worth). the commentary from the crew was humourous and informative and i thoroughly enjoyed myself on the cruise, not forgetting the sights along the way such as the london bridge, tower bridge, london eye and westminster abbey and big ben!
had these 3 maps for the trip: 1 for the map of london, 1 for the tour bus hop-on-off locations, and 1 for the theatres. heehee.
jersey boys in the afternoon! not too bad a show. the singing was really fantastic and the lead has an amazing counter-tenor voice!
wanted to visit the national gallery which allows free entrance but i was too late after the show! luckily there was the japan matsuri at trafalgar square to keep me entertained for a while.
had really not-so-nice fish and chips, then starbucks which saved the evening, and then the musical 'we will rock you'. singing was great but the script and props could do better.
the next morning, i took an early bus to hyde park and took a little walk.
i stopped by a cafe for some tea and ended up scribbling charcoal on my drawing sheet (hahah acting all artsy fartsy after acrylic painting at arteastiq...)
they had a sunday marathon and i became part of the onlooking crowd
continued walking to buckingham palace but there was, unfortunately, no guard changing ceremony that day.
overall a fulfilling trip to london. however i was very disappointed by original tours' bus as i waited more than an hour to hop on one to get back to the hotel for a nap before work. this was most probably due to the sunday crowd, but still, better forecasting could have been done. - little blemish to the trip. :P

woohoo just got back from sunny chilly melbourne!
should be another of my favourite place to visit since zach is there!
and so we met for dinner at a korean bbq restaurant near queen victoria market. we ordered pork belly, marinated chicken, seafood pancake, kimchi soup, and chapchae. obviously we couldn't finish everything but it was a good attempt. didn't manage to take a picture though.
after dinner we drove to eureka tower and headed to the 88th floor.
paid 10aud to get into this edge thing, which is essentially an extension out of the building while we are standing on the glass-panelled floor. well. it's the company that matters i always say, not the destination
after the edge we chilled by yarra river and ate. AGAIN. the chocolate mud pie was really good btw.
