first of all, the landing into melbourne was really rocky because of the huge-ass wind blowing at us. haahaha.
oh yes my hotel! :)
the room with the nice and comfy bed and hdtv. muahhaha watched discovery hdworld the entire night! muahahah
after we landed from a 8hr-long flight, we bathed and headed out to catch some melbourne goodness! :P had kimchi lunch and then off we go to victoria market which are usually open only on weekends.
my 2 travelling companions - ina and denise
after a 40-min walk we finally arrived :)
some of the many things that we saw along the way

had a wonderful chocolate eclair, the really oily smoked salmon with cheese, and bought a bag of macadamia coated with chocolate and another bag with WASABI back to singapore. *glee* HAHAHA after all the shopping we hitched a tram (for free) back to flinders train station and did some more grocery shopping.
bathed and then knocked out for 7 hours before i woke up at 11pm aussie time to wish miaoru happy birthday! hahhah and then i had a zinger burger for dinner and strawberries for supper before drowning myself in some tv goodness. wheeeeeee

the next day i woke up bright and early at 830 and decided to go for some more sightseeing!
had poached eggs with hashbrown for sunday brunch at blue train cafe just opp the hotel. ooo the food was good but things in melbourne are really expensive!
rowers up for some water action on a clear and chilly sunday morning!
always amazed whenever a horse carriage passed by the pedestrians, cyclists, cyclists with prams, motorised wheelchairs, cars, and trams. (they really have some innovative vehicles in the city)
ooooo talk about juxtaposition between the past and the present, the sacred and the secular.

kids posing for the camera (before complaining to their mom that some crazy korkor snapped a shot of them) at the national gallery of victoria
had a really busy flight back, but we had a round of applause from the passengers as they disembarked into singapore to go to many other parts of the world. that made my day :)
