thought-provoking

i was reading bill rancic's you're hired in the afternoon and i found out how value-adding is so important. he did yacht-waxing with his friend and was able made 400bucks a day during his summer hols that's pretty cool money! ok how can i value-add...zzzzzzzzzz

i wanna sing for the ladies at my high-end hair salon haha am i crazy or what :P let's see: the salon would be at one of the busy nightspots and opens from 6 in the night to 4 in the morning and caters to the party-goers. ok the salon can be another busy night attraction kekekekekeke
or i wanna sing at my open-concept swiss bakery-icecream-cafe in the middle of orchard road (don't you that the square infrontof ngee an city could do with more vibrancy) with cute waitresses :) and hunky funky waiters WAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ok then let's pray that we will have winter and things will get snowy in singapore so i can install a fireplace in the cafe so ppl can come in for warmth and get cozy. ok i should stop dreaming let me go purchase my real-snow machine first because i don't want my customers to choke on foam, they can drown in icewater :D

ok or i will open my own design studio to help mr cups and miss spoons and forks and plates and bowls and chairs and pencil cases and plastic bags to makeover. hehehehe

Someone Else's Star
Bryan White
Alone again tonight without someone to love.
The stars are shining bright so one more wish goes up.
Oh, I wish I may and I wish with all my might.
For the love I'm dreaming of and missing in my life.
You'd think that I could find a true love of my own.
It happens all the time to people that I know.
Their wishes all come true so I've got to believe.
There's still someone out there who is meant for only me.
I guess I must be wishing on someone else's star.
It seems like someone else keeps gettin what I'm wishing for.
Why can't I be as lucky as those other people are?
I guess I must be wishing, on someone else's star.
I sit here in the dark and stare up at the sky,
But I can't give my heart one good reason why.
Everywhere I look it's lovers that I see.
It seems like everyone's in love with everyone but me.

i wanna write

about something.
haha so lame.:(
yay i guessed correctly. hady won he deserved it.

do you know work sucks big cigars. work is getting more tiring and more nonsensical and more illogical and makes people more irrational and more irritable. the big big bosses are getting more unreasonable and unappealing to the eyes and ears and nose. they should give us a BREAK. arhhh that's right. i am full of laments and complaints these few days sorry.

music seems like it became solely responsible for bringing solace to the troubled souls. or has it relinquished this responsibility?

tiny trivia: is it true that guys are less wise while girls are alot less happy?

tell the greater being

that we are no super humans.

livelihood, the yearning, frolic, verdure, dynasty, companions, inspirations, cash
why do people fall sick one after another.
why do failures occur one after another.
know money can never be enough
but there are dreams to live
when are we ever allowed to live them
it gets increasingly exhausting when we know these questions can never be answered
the questions pile on each other and we search in futile of the answers
why do we get enlightened with the troubles of everyday
where is the happy family portrait
and why is there a term called guilty pleasure
all being said i don't aspire to be a delinquent of life
because there are still little bundles of bliss and comfort

o anyway cocacolalime does not have the zesty taste of lime that i can tingle my taste buds with. :(

hope hady wins singapore idol he deserves it more than jonathan. hmm then wouldn't it establish more of a tradition???...hmm but he is really the better candidate, lar. HAHAHA

Now I Understand

why sheena loves corrinne may.
in the past sheena would let me listen to some of corrinne may's songs but i just couldn't really get to feel the music within. not until yesterday, or rather this morning at about 3 am when i was quite free listening to 933 with mr dennis in the car and a piano ballad just started playing. and i heard corrinne may's wondrous singing in this emotional piece.

Fly Away
Written by Corrinne May Ying Foo
When will you be home?" she asks as we watch the planes take off
We both know we have no clear answer to where my dreams may lead
She's watched me as I crawled and stumbled as a child, she was my world and now to let me go, I know she bleeds and yet she says to me
You can fly so high
Keep your gaze upon the sky
I'll be praying every step along the way
Even though it breaks my heart to know we'll be so far apart
I love you too much to make you stay
Baby fly away
Autumn leaves fell into spring time and silver-painted hair daddy called one evening saying "We need you. Please come back"
When I saw her laying in her bed fragile as a child pale just like an angel taking flight I held her as I cried
You can fly so high
Keep your gaze upon the sky
I'll be praying every step along the way
Even though it breaks my heart to know we'll be so far apart
I love you too much to make you stay
Baby fly away
recently heard that something's not really going smoothly for one of my closer friend whom i have not heard from for a looooong time. don't worry pal everything will be ok they will know that that was a genuine mistake. if there's anything you need just call us k we are all here for you.

capricious

ha i am being overestimated as being random its just that i can't arrange my thoughts in an organised manner that's all hahaha.
i didn't get to use the comp yesterday. work is so much more bearable now if we know how to incorporate music into our mundane working environment, and if we know just how to have fun with our car buddies and it is hilarious just how funnily foolish some conversations will sound through the air.
bah i can't keep up with the latest music trends.

haha my apologies i listen to mandarin songs. haha but this is really meaningful and the tune is great, lar.

o i heard some people say that we must thank our citizens for the success of imf. its because of the fact that most of us are pacifist and do not want to create trouble with the authorities that result in this being one of the most peaceful imf meeting in the world, although some may argue that this maybe due to stubborn government restrictions and management. try juxtaposing our citizens with other less conciliatory citizens in other neighbouring economies we should be glad we live here.
o this is too much i am talking about current affairs.

haha irvin you sound like a voyeur haha its ok this blog is exhibitionistic so its ok. HA

the treasury of knowledge

well there's now a treasury i can visit beside junction8 which is about 500m away from home. it is a place filled with wonderful newly purchased books and audiovisual items that can be borrowed if you are a trustworthy singaporean free from any crime or legal allegations.
ha it is called the BISHAN COMMUNITY LIBRARY.
even though i have only been there for the 2nd time, my hour spent here was surprisingly splendid.
but no, all singaporeans please take note do not flock from your friendly neighbourhood libraries just because they are abit older and dilapidated compared to this. yes the books are newly-bought you can just see this from the wonderful wrinkle-free bookspines and the book with papers that are marvelously beige all neatly arranged. O if you are a stephen king or dean koontz fan you get 2 entire bookselves worth of books for your viewing pleasure. but still just try not to jam up the place k.
the lack of a very resourceful mind led me to find out that one can be a premium member so that one can borrow 8 more books and cd/vcd/dvd for a little more than 20 bucks per annum. haha wow better late than never.
ok let me stress one more time just to tantalise everyone that the books are really new HAHAHAHAHA
it is also commendable that the library engages really polite customer service officers who really smile. well done who says singaporean hospitality and service are lousy. and national library board has new plastic bags for the distressed customer who forgot to bring any bag to carry his/her barang barang or loot whichever you want to call it.
the architectural outlook of the building was futuristic with coloured rectangular boxes jutting out of the building here and there so that boisterous students of 5-6 can squeeze all they want in this little space without really posing as an eyesore. o these spaces serve as pretty romantic corners for couples to laze around too. i shall go and sit in one of the cozy little corners one rainy day and look at the raindrop trickle down the tinted glass and read a book and waste my afternoon away.
o the only unpleasing factor is that the journey from the ground floor to the 2nd floor can take ages to walk. the effort to beautify the surroundings and make use of the gigantic space with a gentle-gradient floor that is filled with informative human-size exhibits instead of a practical set of staircase is really greatly appreciated but.... ok i shall just take the lift next time.
haha shall stop scrutinizing. the new library is great, it makes bishan a nicer place to live in.
o this makes the bishan library my second favourite hangout after the united square starbucks glasshouse.

bah one of the two stems of my dear cactus fell off mysteriously yesterday. it is now buried beside the main stem.

Z

bahhahaha two things from work: an unsettled mind and a sleep debt that is not repayable.

it appears that our romeo car can double as an entertainment box. hhaha that is only applicable if we are free enough.

i am glad that we are so much happier now. even though some things still tend to be a little worrying.

the youthful perfectionist, the desirable comedian, the indispensible cleaner, the coruscating sense of humour. the faithful nuclear reactor, the verified hippopotamus, the endearing whiner. the innocent dracula. the colour idiot. my brain cells have overworked. not to mention that they are already short of manpower. so what does that make of me. :O

do you

have an eye for beauty?
my niece just woke up going to play with her HAHAHA she likes to laugh and giggle and gah gah so many sounds and words that i just want to play with her all the time. haha this is called baby addiction she's so beautiful and adorable. my mom and sis say i shouldn't carry her around the house all the time but... hahahahaha

<.....i should try this trying-to-be-funny-look next time ar. :)

through work i understood that no matter how difficult a problem is, one can solve it if one is determined to.
it's good to learn everyday yeah. tuition & night shift later, even more things to learn.

the boy

apparently the confession from him came out from a very gruelling interoggation hmmm. abit hard on him hope he doesn't suffer from psychological trauma because of this. anyway tml is the start of the week so hope he gets a good rest lar har....

hmmm well done. although we finished work at 2230 instead of the earliest 2100 i am not grumpy, but rather feeling quite good actually. must be the people.

SING SING SING was walking along this toa payoh central today and saw the auditions for the project superstar and it was held for the female contestants. couldn't really get a good view of their faces but those that i have heard i thought some of them really sang quite well, although the judges may beg to differ. wonder if it is because their expectations high or mine low. haha i reluctantly agree that it is most probably the latter. anyway was wondering why that famous hairdresser i think by the name of andy is one of the judges. as far as i know he is not a singer right must be there to criticise on the outlook and appearance and their fashion makeup. perhaps this type of people are indispensable in a commercialised competition like this.

well my weekend is burnt. well there are some days in the future whereby i can claim so it is ok lar hor.

haha i have yet to have the knowledge on installing tagboards so can the hoardes of visitors who visit my blog faithfully everyday please use the comment pen to write and talk. HAHA.

the following song doesn't apply to me because i do not have any childhood confidante, but still this is one of my favourite songs by tank.

thanks to whoever made music audible to the year for bringing wonderful music to billions of people in the world for them to seek solace in, to cherish peace and to find their true inner self.

Where Are You Christmas? by Faith Hill
Where are you Christmas
Why can't I find you
Why have you gone away
Where is the laughter
You use to bring me
Why can't I hear music play
My world is changing
I'm rearranging
Does that mean Christmas changes too
Where are you Christmas
Do you remember
The one you used to know
I'm not the same one
See what time's done
Is that why you have let me go
Christmas is here
Everywhere, oh
Christmas is here
If you care, oh...
If there is love in your heart and your mind
You will feel like Christmas all the time
I feel you Christmas
I know I've found you
You never fade away
The joy of Christmas
Stays here in silence
Fills each and every heart with love
Where are you Christmas
Fills your heart with love
yahyahyah xmas is coming soon...3 more months ya hopefully i will be able to take leave for the many many many many carolling sessions in dec. hopefully lar ar.haha anyway there is this fragrant waft of bakkua smell in my room dunno why. it has been here for quite some time. i would have welcomed the smell if not for the fact that i wanna sleep soon and it doesn't really act well as a sedative. hope it is not something burning ar.........

incoherent

o i think my posts are very incoherent and...and....
haha my eyes are strained from staring too much at the comp where's the greenery. maybe putting my cactus beside the computer would help. what nonsense hahahahaha.

haha this is the new one. joel said the old words are too separated and ppl wouldn't understand it ahah so i change lar boss. ahaha think it looks better like that also lar don't be too fanciful hahaha.

haha my extra duty tml's cancelled. what a marvelous news. :D

the beguiling ballad

The Voice Within
written by Christina Aguilera, Glen Ballard
Young girl don't cry
I'll be right here when your world starts to fall, ooh
Young girl it's alright
Your tears will dry, you'll soon be free to fly, ooh
When you're safe inside your room you tend to dream
Of a place where nothing's harder than it seems
No one ever wants or bothers to explain
Of the heartache life can bring and what it means
When there's no one else
Look inside yourself
Like your oldest friend just
Trust the voice within
Then you'll find the strength
That will guide your way
You'll learn to begin to
Trust the voice within, ohh

weather coolant

i slept alot just now. :) haha. rainy days and mondays never get me down.
actually i am not very happy at all because i have another extra morning shift coming up on saturday. so that means i definitely can't send mayling and jiayun off....hai. blardy hell.

thank goodness i have super friends to bring me through life.
:(sheequek says i have funny names and nicks.): haah this is to retain my exclusiveness and for my personal safety HA.

tomorrow's morning shift. :(
